Metallurgical Coke/Coke Breeze
A carbon material manufactured by the "destructive distillation" of various blends of bituminous coal, usually low in sulfur, having a high compressive strength at elevated temperatures; used in metallurgical furnaces not only as fuel but, also, to support the weight of the charge.
USES:
- Reducing Agent
- Sinter Fuel
- Carbon Additive
Anthracite Coal
A hard, compact variety of coal with a high carbon content and fewest impurities. Characterized by its high luster and low sulfur content.
USES:
- Charge Carbon
- Packing Core for Electrodes
- Injection Carbon
- Foamy Slag Carbon
- Carbon Riser
Petroleum Coke
A carbonaceous solid fuel derived from oil refinery coker units or other cracking processes. Typically high in heat value and low in ash.
USES:
- Substitute for Coal
- Production of Metallurgical Coke
- Power Generation
- Injection Carbon
- Cement and Lime
